Carl Farrington and codefendant Karriem Barrow were charged with multiple counts of conspiracy to commit armed robbery, armed robbery and possession of firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence for allegedly participating in a string of armed bank robberies throughout New York State.
Farrington pleaded guilty to 8 armed robberies and related crimes.
Between January 21, 2010 and March 16, 2010, Farrington and Barrow allegedly conspired and participated in the armed robbery of 7 banks and 1 Chinese restaurant throughout Bronx, Westchester and Putnam counties. Farrington and Barrow purportedly robbed approximately $187,837 of funds.
If convicted, Farrington and Barrow each face a maximum sentence of 8 terms of life and 220 years in prison.
